Schull is a bustling village with lots of character and popular self-catering houses and apartments attracting large crowds there to take part in sailing and other water-based activities. Schull Community College has a unique attraction in the form of planetarium and is a landing and departure point for various islands

There are 3 golf courses (1*9 hole and 2*18 hole) within a 20minute drive of Árd Glas. Coosheen (pictured below), a beautiful 9-hole links course overlooking Schull harbour, is the closest and is only 4 miles away. Others courses include Skibbereen & West Carbery Golf Club and Bantry Bay Golf Club.
